🍩

Interactive Climate Change Distribution

The floating dashboard donut chart visually tallies climate risk exposure tiers. Click directly on chart segments or the panel legend to instantly filter the visible map pins and isolate specific tiers.

Priority Acceleration Shortcuts

Selecting a site pin focuses its information card, allowing you to click again to restore defaults. Hit "Compare Priority Sites" to immediately bundle all high-severity "critical" properties into a side-by-side assessment.

The left sidebar displays a Risk Summary panel with key statistics about the available sites.

Comparison Modes

Once you've selected your sites and clicked `Compare Sites`, a modal opens with multiple visuals. Each one offers different insights into your selected sites based on the climate data.

🏅 Mode 1: Callendar Score

Rank and sort sites by their overall climate evolution score

The Callendar Score mode lets you rank your selected sites based on their overall climate evolution score.
This provides a synthetic, at-a-glance view of which locations are most exposed to long-term climate change, helping you prioritize sites for deeper analysis or action.

📊 Mode 2: Site Ranking

Compare indicator values across sites with grouped bar charts

The Site Ranking mode displays a grouped bar chart that enables easy side-by-side comparison of climate indicator values across all selected sites.
This is ideal for quickly identifying which locations face the highest or lowest values for specific metrics.

🫧 Mode 3: Delta Indicator

Visualize relationships between two indicators using bubble charts

The Delta Indicator mode provides a unique bubble chart visualization that allows you to compare two indicators simultaneously.
This is particularly useful for identifying correlations, outliers, and cross-indicator trends that might not be visible in single-metric comparisons.

📈 Mode 4: Evolution Trend

Track indicator changes over time with time series line charts

The Evolution Trend mode presents a time series line chart that illustrates how a climate indicator evolves across multiple decades.
This is the perfect tool for understanding long-term trends and anticipating future changes at each location.

Best Practices & Tips

Site Selection Strategy

  • For optimal comparative analysis, select sites with similar geographic or climatic characteristics
  • Use the sidebar panel for quick multi-selection and deselection
  • Remember that only sites from completed studies can be compared

Analysis & Export Tips

  • Some indicators are site-type dependent (Inland vs. Offshore)
  • When data is not available for a selected site, a warning will be displayed on top of the visuals
  • Switch between modes to gain different perspectives on the same data

Common Questions

How many sites can I compare at once?

There's no strict upper limit, but for optimal visualization, we recommend comparing 2-15 sites at a time. Too many sites can make charts crowded and difficult to interpret.

What if my site doesn't appear on the map?

Sites still in processing are automatically excluded from the comparison feature. Contact us if you believe a site should be available.

Can I save my site selection for later?

Currently, site selections are session-based and reset when you navigate away from the page. We recommend exporting your analysis results for future reference.

Which export format should I use?

Use PNG exports for presentations, reports, and visual documentation. Choose CSV exports when you need to perform additional calculations, create custom visualizations, or integrate data into other analytical tools.
